ABA ROLI Moldova is hiring a program assistant

American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative Moldova (ABA ROLI Moldova) is an international organization implementing technical assistance programs with the support of the USA State Department. ABA ROLI Moldova works in the field of justice sector reform and provides assistance to the main institutions in the justice sector.

ABA ROLI Moldova is seeking to engage a program assistant for a fix term assignment. This is a full time position.

The program assistant will get first-hand impression of the day-to-day working environment of an international NGO working in the justice sector reform and will have the chance to participate in our seminars and workshops, meet the justice sector main stakeholders. The selected person may be assigned to perform more complex duties depending on the level of skills proven.

Qualifications:

1. Fluent in Romanian and English;

2. University degree from a fully accredited university (law, public administration, economics or other relevant fields);

3. Prior experience working with civil society organizations is preferred, but not essential;

4. Strong verbal and written communication skills;

5. Strong organizational skills;

6. Team player and ability to tolerate stress and maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities:

1. Working with ABA ROLI staff to develop and implement programs;

2. As requested, contributing to monthly and quarterly reports and work plans;

3. Assisting in/preparing trainings, workshops and informational/practice guides for representatives of the legal community (to include logistical arrangements, preparation of substantive materials, and oversight of other local service providers);

4. Translating and interpreting at meetings, as requested.
