Campaign addressed to State organizations and private companies for FREE disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment!

The team of the Association For Recycling of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) MOLDREC, in partnership with the company RecWaste, organizes during the period 1-30 April 2014, the “ECO Companies action.

The action is addressed to all state institutions and private companies, giving them the solution to get rid of electronic waste which they hold FREE OF CHARGE.

The action aims to involve state institutions and private companies in order to increase the quantities of collected waste, the level of recycling and valorization of material resources and not least to intensify efforts of all those involved in the system of selective collection and recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment in order to manage it eco-rational (waste treatment, recycling, neutralization).

We want to convey a message to State institutions and private companies regarding the importance of collecting and recycling waste. Selective collecting and recycling means environmental responsibility and a significant step towards a better quality of life for citizens of Moldova.

This is one of the main ideas of the campaign: to create habits that are related not only to the ecology, but also to the improving the quality of life through a clean and healthy environment. declares, Iulian Gamureac, President of MOLDREC.

Proceedings initiated by the MOLDREC association proposes FREE OF CHARGE taking over the waste electrical and electronic equipment from institutions and companies in both private and public sector, located within the municipality of Chisinau, with the preparation of all legal documents attesting the fact that by participating in this campaign, they have fulfilled the legal and moral obligations for waste management.

Institutions and companies interested in participating in the campaign are invited to start the procedure of cassation for these types of waste in order to benefit from free takeover.

All costs relating to the transport, treatment and recycling of e-waste will be covered by the associationMOLDREC.” declared Victor Cazac, project director, MOLDREC.

Participation procedure is simple – companies and institutions shall ask the disposal of electronic waste online (http://goo.gl/9kH3yC) or by phone (060 121 112). MOLDREC’s representatives will respond to the request within 48 hours. In order to improve the action, there is a minimum quantity of 100 kg starting with which MOLDREC ensure collection of waste. After picking up the waste, company or institution will announce on its website or social network page about participating in the project and will include MOLDREC association in its release.

MOLDREC was created at the beginning of 2013 as a non-profit organization, and has already collected about 35 000 kg of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
