English for Media Literacy/Coursera Program



America House Chisinau invites high school students, university students, and young professionals to the 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙖 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢 - 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙖 𝙇𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙮.
The course is designed for non-native English speakers interested in learning more about U.S. media literacy. In this course, they will explore different types of mass media, such as newspapers, magazines, television, and social media. This course will allow them to develop a broader understanding of the media's role in our lives while building their vocabulary and the language skills needed to analyze what they read and watch.
The course will take place on 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 from 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟑 𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟕, (10:30AM - 1:00PM), and will be facilitated by 𝘋𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘢 𝘊𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘪𝘢 - Head of Lyceum, Heritage International School; Trainer for International Standardised Exams.
By the end of the course, participants will demonstrate their media literacy skills through a culminating final project on social media.
