U.S. Embassy announces Anti-Nostalgia Grants Program



The U.S. Embassy announces a competition for assistance awards through this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for a program to strengthen Moldova’s information space.

Program Objectives:  

This proposal plans to fund ideas that have the effect of broadening the sources of information related to Moldova’s history through on-line/in-person debates, conferences, and other instruments with local and/or international speakers/experts.   Proposals should include, but are not limited to the following: 

  1. The ecological/environmental record;
  2. The quality and availability of medical treatment;
  3. The consumer experience;
  4. Political oppression, deportations;
  5. Lack of political and personal freedom.

Applicants are encouraged to develop partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including the public and/or private sectors as well as local organizations, where applicable. 

Participants and Audiences: 

Successful proposals should include an assessment and sustainability plan, along with feasible solutions to current issues in the media market. 

Interested organizations shall develop a plan that would fit the above stated priorities into a comprehensive development strategy.
