Louis Armstrong was one of the most influential musicians of all time. His matchless trumpet playing and unmistakable voice helped bring jazz into mainstream American life.  

With over a dozen of his classic film performances, numerous television and concert performances as well as never-before-seen home movies and nightclub footage from 1935, this documentary is the most comprehensive look at this American icon.
