Field Officer for Intersos Moldova Mission

Intersos Moldova Mission is hiring Field Officer.

Under the supervision of the Protection Manager, the Field Officer will coordinate the Mobile Protection Teams organising their working schedule and supervising their activities. The Field Officer will support and facilitate the Team's activities in the field. As well the Field Officer will support the Protection Manager particularly acting as liaison with all relevant authorities and protection activities stakeholders.

Full time position.

Salary 20k MDL net

Duties & Responsibilities

• Organise the activities and working schedule of Mobile Protection Teams (MPTs)
• Monitor and supervise the MPTs activities and performance
• Support and assist the daily activities of the MPTs in the field
• Prepare monthly procurement and any other logistics support needed, including ensuring inventories and handover certificate are properly signed and achieved
• Support in HR related tasks: such as creation of leave plan, collection of relevant documentation, IRP and any other task requested by the supervisor
• Prepare distribution plans for in kinds and ensure the database are kept updated
• Financial planning for the BL concerning the part of the budget supervised (only UNHCR)
• Support the Project Manager in writing interim and final report
• Report on the MPTs daily activities
• Support in training organisation and other activities for the staff
• Conduct different types of need assessments and report on conditions on the ground
• Collect relevant project data
• Liaise with relevant authorities and project stakeholders in the geographical area of competency, make and maintain contacts
• Coordinate at field level with partners and relevant stakeholders
• Support the Protection and Project Managers in understanding priorities and planning protection activities
• Assist the Project Manager in compiling due reports
• Conduct meetings at field level
• Carry out all tasks respecting key protection principles including but not limited to: do no harm, non-discrimination, confidentiality, accountability and need-to-know principles
• Support sensitization, information dissemination and awareness raising activities

Requirements

• University Degree in relevant field (Social Sciences, Law is an asset)
• One year of relevant working experience in the protection sector
• Previous working experience with IDPs, refugees and returnees
• Strong knowledge of international protection in the humanitarian context
• Strong knowledge in other protection areas (i.e. case management, psychosocial support activities etc.)
• Essential computer literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Leadership, planning and organisational skills
• Respect and non-discriminatory attitude
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Strong report writing skills
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) essential (Rom. and Rus. mandatory)
