With a team of 5,900 national staff and 400 international staff, ACTED is active in 38 countries and implements more than 500 projects a year, reaching over 20 million beneficiaries.

The unprecedented humanitarian disaster faced by the Ukrainians is taking a dramatic turn, with millions of people are displaced in various areas.

ACTED helps ensuring they can receive the basic support they need, including water, food and hot meals, blankets, hygiene supplies and access to mobile heating points.

Project Assistant Site Management

Assignment

The Project Assistant is responsible for supporting the field activities according to the methodologies and guidelines provided by ACTED, engaged in community engagement and project implementation and monitoring. The project aims to cover all accommodation centers  in Moldova and the needs in the province/area, based on the government's needs. Technical experience with projects developed in Moldova is desirable or a direct link with the beneficiary population.

Purpose:

Due to the particular nature of the position and the evolution of ACTED's programs in Moldova, the list of responsibilities of the accommodation assistant below is not exhaustive. Thus, the employee may be required to carry out other tasks not mentioned in his/her terms of reference, as long as they do not detract from the job description

Responsibilities:

o   Monitor the situation regarding the number of people 

o   Maintain contact with the RACs and know exactly what the RACs need and record it in the database, assisting the Project Officer

o   Advise on the need to facilitate the scheduling of RAC visits

o   Contact bases regularly and assess their needs.

o   Inform the Project Officer of possible emergencies

o   Identify referrals to be made and report them: education / legal / medical / child protection...

o   Ensure that ACTED's visibility is present in the centers

o   Facilitate and assist the teams during distribution inside the RACs

Qualifications:

o   Qualified candidates must have:

o   High school graduation. (Not mandatory)

o   The ability to react promptly to crisis or emergency situations

o   The ability to speak calmly and deal with the beneficiaries' needs

o   Languages to speak: Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian

Tasks may change according to needs and activities 

Are considered as heavy faults : 

  • Failure to comply with the above descriptions;

o   Keeping sensitive information secret

o   Not following the processes and safety rules related to the emergency context

o   Being drank while on duty or under the influence of narcotics or alcool

o   Sleeping on duty, unjustified absences

o   Partial or poor performance of assigned duties. Unwillingness; Lack of cooperation with others; Lack of motivation or application to work ;

o   Use of any ACTED merchandise or equipment for personal use; Misappropriation or theft of materials will result in immediate dismissal
