Qualifications and skills

  • University degree in the field of finance, economics or another relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience of at least 1000 working days in addition to the general professional experience requested below;
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures;
  • Excellent knowledge and skills in financial administration control, monitoring, reporting and auditing;
  • Knowledge of the EU financial procedures and rules, in particular the Commission rules for external aid and its Financial Regulation and Rules of Application;
  • Excellent written and spoken English. General professional experience;
  • At least 660 working days and preferably over 1100 working days of professional experience in financial management and financial supervision of tasks and transactions, including bookkeeping, invoicing, international payments and transfers, cash-flow management (including VAT management). Specific professional experience;
  • At least 880 working days of proven professional experience in financial management of the EU-funded projects and/or international projects;
  • At least 220 working days of proven professional experience with computerised accounting systems.
